If you look at the evening sky you will see a brightly shining Venus. She is finishing up her Evening Star phase, where she has matured and has begun to slowly descend from her furthest point from the Sun as seen on Earth. She is preparing for her retrograde underworld journey where she’ll meet at the heart of the Sun and is not seen for about 10 days until she moves away from the beams of the Sun and rises as a Morning Star.
The direct observation of the night sky can teach us about ourselves and our relationship to our planet. Venus’s movement from Evening to Morning Star is a visual show in the sky lasting for about 40 days, inspiring in us a descent-death (of the old) and a rising-birthing process towards the new in matters of the heart.

Venus will retrograde in the sign of Aries, a sign that denotes youth, leadership, authority, passion, drive and action. Being in the domicile of Mars, Venus’s desire to express harmony can feel at odds with the fiery warrior archetype. Mars will be continuing his long stay after his own retrograde journey in the domicile of Moon, the feminine water sign, Cancer. Venus in Aries will already be conjunct the Sun once he moves into Aries on the Spring Equinox and colors the new zodiacal year with a pioneering feminine spirit infused with a touch of caution and looking back to possible injustices and harmful ways of approaching deep emotions and ancestral karmas and may motivate us to move in new directions that better serve our mind-body and by extension the body of our Mother Earth.
The dance between Venus, Mars, the Sun and a receptive but ever-changing Moon could make emotions run a bit hot, but will provide the feedback to discover our true desires, what areas of life and relationship need healing and what vision and purpose feels most aligned to solidify the sacrifices needed for inspiring

During Venus’s retrograde she will move back into the sign of Pisces where she is exalted and at home. Pisces brings out an emotional, romantic, artistic and mystical Venus. She appreciates the interplay of light and dark as the sign of Pisces straddles the end of winter and beginning of spring (and the summer and fall in the southern hemisphere). Venus's journey back into Pisces happens just days away from Venus’s birth and appearance as a Morning Star and two days before the Solar Eclipse in Aries that closes out a 18-month journey of our Libra and Aries lessons around forging better relations with Self and Other.
It can be very clear what endings and beginnings are forming, and Pisces gives us an opportunity to see all sides, particularly the shadows at play in our subconscious habits and hidden desires, and may go as deep as recognizing our unconscious woundings and conditioning, creating a need to tend to old traumas but also access a rich dreamtime with exciting new creative visioning for the future. With the North Node in Pisces also making aspects to Venus, we can expect to fly high on romance, idealism and fantasy or be taken by delusions of grander or offered false promises. Saturn in Pisces will also conjunct Venus brining a sense of responsibility towards the end of her retrograde perhaps bringing in too much reality or limitations, but nonetheless can save us from forming unhealthy attachment, addiction or escapism. But, we must remember limits also create the conditions for new forms of creativity to surface and birth, as well as bringing new meaning into our lives around our emotional, spiritual, artistic, romantic, future-oriented selves. My name is Amber Hidalgo Myers, and I have been through much in my spiritual journey and have learned from masters in many mind-body and healing modalities such as Tai Chi, Qi-gong, Kundalini Yoga, Somatics, Buddhist and Zen Meditation, Shadow Astrology, Medical Astrology, Reiki, and Sat Nam Rasayan. Most recently I trained with Rakaiel Webb and received a Sound Healing Certification in 2023. I am currently studying Ancient Astrology with Adam Elenbas and modern Astrologer Arielle Guttman, Creatrix of the Venus Star Point. I am an initiated Priestess of the Rose and studied under Achintya Devi of Goddess Rising Mystery School and Ameya Cohen of Women Rising, who taught me to embody the mysteries of Innana and the Mystical Rose.

The session I had with Amber Hidalgo-Myers was thought provoking and inspiring! Thru this Astro lens I had insight into myself around my own personal development, my gifts, and who I am in the world. It also put me in touch with my shadow work in a very gentle way, highlighting both my strengths and challenges, and how many of my wounds are also my gifts. It is so interesting to see how all of the planets and markers in the chart interact and affect one another, and thus how that plays out in your life. It gave me so much information! And it was wonderful learning about the Venus rose, and how that interacted with me in terms of where she was in the sky when I was born, and how that influence plays out in my life. Astro Reading Review
The sound helped support integration of the Venus RX journey. The sound journey put me in a meditative space, and I believe that shaped the way I processed the preceding astrology information. This was not necessarily perceptible in the moment, but in looking back i'd say the sound moved the information through my system on an energetic level, so after the session was done and processing continued, it was more integrated into my conscious and subconscious, and this yielded deeper insights than if I had processed through my intellect alone. It also felt like the energetic practice of engaging the sound journey solidified the commitment and fostered a deeper connection to the work with Venus. It was devotional time spent.
